One of the worlds largest Oil & Gas companies engaged with DECOM to manage the conversion of a storage building into a tanker offloading point. DECOM were brought in to manage the project through to completion, managing isolations, writing scope of work documentation, CDM documentation, procurement documentation, to managing the 6 appointed contractors throughout the works. DECOM have been appointed on various projects over the past few years always delivering with safety our number one priority in everything we do.

DECOM established a CDM area and controlled all work within the area issuing daily permits to work and carrying out daily briefings with all contractors involved in the project. The building was partially demolished and the front facia made good, groundworks were carried out installing new drains for surface water run off. New pipework, pumps, flow meters and monitoring equipment were installed along with solar panels to the rood of the building. All isolations were put in place and the new pipework connected to the existing site pipework to allow tankers to offload product. The project was carried out safely over a 5 month period, all work was carried out on time and to budget, with the area commissioned and handed back over the client for continued commercial use.
