One of the largest Petrochemical companies in the world who produce a number of products from crude oil required support from a company to undertake the roll of CDM Principal Contractor, Principal Designers and Project Managers for the inspection and subsequent repairs to a pipebridge spanning a public road. DECOM wrote all scope of work documents, tender documents and pre construction information pack as required by CDM.

Bridge Inspection and Repairs

DECOM issued daily permits to work, checked RAMS for the various sub contractors working on the project. The first phase was erection of scaffold and edge protection to the bridge, rope access was used to inspect the bridge structure and following the structural report, the bridge was repaired and re-painted to offer corrosion protection to allow safe use for many years. We prepared the health and safety file, keeping all correspondence for handover to the client along with the CDM area at the end of the project. All work was carried out with any accidents or incidents, ahead of programme and within budget.
